Beaches of Peñíscola

With it's five kilometres of fine sand, making it the largest beach in Peñiscola and one of the best of Castellón province. Flanked at its southern end by the Castillo del Papa Luna, extending north to the neighbouring town of Benicarlo.

Year after year, awarded for the quality of its beaches and installations, highlighting its facilities for the less mobile guests and its rescue teams and surveillance.

This, together with the maintenance and privileged location, make it worthy of the Blue Flag, the Q flag, of the Institute for Spanish Quality of Tourism (ICTE) and the Qualitur flag for quality and environmental management.

Located near the fishing port, this fine sandy beach and 850 metres in length is characterized by its calm waters sheltered by the breakwater, the charm of the ships coming into port and the presence of the Nautical Station Benicarlo - Peñiscola, where you can practice sailing, windsurfing and other water sports.

A small beach of 110 metres in length, located next to the South Beach where you can enjoy the tranquility of the Costa de Azahar and the warm Meditteranean waters.

South of Peñiscola, following the road for the Natural Park of Sierra de Irta, near the former headquarters of the Carabineros, we find the Pebret and Russo beaches. These two fine sandy beaches are the only ones found in the countryside belonging to the natural park, authentic paradise, where you can enjoy nature and the amazing waters in this area.

Throughout the whole nature reserve you can find small and hidden coves, some of them difficult to access where you can discover the charms of this park.

In some, it is also common to practice nudism.
