Mojácar celebrates the pilgrimage of San Isidro in May, the Moors and Christians in June, San Agustín the patron saint of Mojácar on the 28th of August and the Virgen del Rosario patron saint of Mojácar among many others.

The gastronomy in Mojácar is rich and varied with exquisite dishes that are a pleasure for the palate, as in the rest of the province of Almería. Some examples of the most common and typical dishes of the area are: seafood stews, wheat, balls, migas and various types of rice dishes.
