Located in one of the most exclusive areas of the town of La Manga is the 4-star Servigroup Galúa Hotel which was selected by Trivago as one of the Top 10 Hotels in Spain, which has under these criteria, became the best beach hotel in the province of Murcia.
But La Manga, in addition to its excellent climate and fantastic day and night time atmosphere, is also well known for having spectacular beaches and cozy coves close to the town, as well as along the coast of Cartagena.
In this first publication on the beaches of La Manga and surroundings, we will suggest 7, which we recommend to visit if you are staying at our Hotel Servigroup Galúa.
1 - Calblanque Beach
It is 300 meters long and approximately 40 meters wide, Calblanque offers an exclusive and relaxing atmosphere, for those who prefer to remain away from the typical crowds and the hustle and bustle.
It is situated in an ideal location, being immersed in the Protected Natural Park of Calblanque.
This really is an authentic Paradise on the Mediterranean coast in the province of Murcia; it is not accessible to vehicles in all seasons. But in the summer months it is easily reachable by public transport. Therefore, if you decide on this option in the summer months, you will have no problem by bus.
Although still regarded as a quiet beach, with the growth, by word of mouth, brought about by forums and social media, this Cartagena beach is becoming a favourite for swimmers and sunbathers wishing to enjoy long sessions in the sun. Not only is it a perfect place to enjoy excellent temperatures but also its magnificent coast.
In addition, in recent years special measures have been taken so as not to exceed a maximum capacity.

Honda Beach in La Manga is 700 metres long and 36 metres wide. Its fine sand with its attractive Mediterranean golden colour is what makes it special.
The semi-urban beach has a wide, welcoming promenade, and is also very popular as a great location for some of the most exclusive water sports. In fact, if you like sailing or would like to learn to sail, one of the most fun water sports in La Manga, you can sign up at the Honda Beach Sailing School and practise as much as you like.

This picturesque cove in Cartagena is 210 metres long and has an average width of 28 metres. It has slightly coarser sand than the coves above. This cove close to La Manga is located on the Mediterranean coast, within the urban area of Cartagena and also offers a wide range of services, such as restaurants, toilet facilities and an attractive area used exclusively for picnics. For all the above reasons, if you decide to go for a stroll along this pretty beach, you will have the feeling of being somewhere far away from a large city where everything is in reach.

Yet you must pass through a barrier control tower, which after a series of curves will lead you to a parking area, the beach is fully visible, and accessible without any problems.
5 - "El Gorgel" Beach
Straddling La Manga and the city of Cartagena, we find the El Gorgel Beach. This is an option chosen by very few tourists and visitors from the surrounding area. For this reason, if you are searching for a beach where there are very few people, this is your Ideal choice.
With a length of 50 meters long and 110 meters wide, this iconic beach in Cartagena, also has an excellent waterfront offering a relaxed and safe swimming area most of the time.
Although the sand is somewhat darker than the other beaches in the area, it does not lower the quality.

6 - "The Islas Menores" Beach
In complete contrast, this beach is the perfect choice for those who seek something livelier and less quiet.

7 - "El Pino" small cave
If there is a cove that is conspicuous by its beauty and excellent vegetation on the Mar Menor, it has to be the Cala Del Pino.
Very popular and highly frequented in La Manga, ask anyone living around Cartagena and they will recommend the Cala Del Pino.
With 150 meters long and a width of 12 meters, the Cala Del Pino is popular for its striking green areas, highlighting its spectacular and classical pine forest. It has many comfortable and cool areas with plenty of shade, if you feel like spending a bit of time out of the sun. In addition, its reduced size also defines the Cala Del Pino as one of the most charming natural surroundings in the area.
On the other hand, this small beach is ideal for watching a sunset or sunrise worthy of a pretty postcard. Therefore, if you are fond of photography, do not forget the camera if you are heading for the Cala Del Pino.
