The Hotel Servigroup Pueblo Benidorm has been the chosen venue again this year to celebrate our now traditional Gastronomic Days, which this year celebrate its 15th Edition. 15 years in which the importance that at Servigroup we give to gastronomy has become clear, as a fundamental part of the experience that clients can enjoy in our chain of hotels.
In this, more than 200 professionals, who hold positions of responsibility in different departments of the chain, such as kitchens, restaurants or bars met between February 20th and 23rd to share their experience, encourage a critical spirit, absorb new ideas and, ultimately, continue working with excellence as a daily goal.
The first day, brought together the management teams of the group's 18 hotels and the department heads of all areas, to share a morning of training in which to work on their communication skills, promoting the group vision of the objectives and how to create an environment of collaboration, which always helps to promote better customer service. To this end, we had the pleasure of receiving more than a dozen experts and professors on different topics who put all their knowledge in the hands of our professionals.
There were even moments for talks and reunions between colleagues who work in the group's different hotels in the provinces of Castellon, Alicante, Murcia or Almeria. A coffee break that also served for us to taste some novelties that you can all enjoy at the Servigroup Hotels buffets, such as the wide variety of Argentine-style gourmet empanadas or the artisanal French-recipe brioches. Delicious!
On Tuesday the 21st, the annual meeting of Head chefs took place, who, together with their fantastic teams, attended a course called “Sustainable Gastronomy” that will lay the foundations for the way our kitchens work this season. With this objective, we aim to achieve “0 Waste” in our buffets without reducing the quality of our recipes in any way. How are we going to manage it? The planning of individual plating, using modern supports that surprised us with their spectacular design, giving diners the opportunity to taste a variety of different dishes in a single service with a cutting-edge presentation.
But not only that, we are also going to continue to count on local gastronomy - Servigroup Hotels has its own agricultural farm, El Clot, in Villajoyosa, where a good part of the products served in our buffets are grown - introducing a greater variety of regional dishes that you will only find in hotels in a certain area. Without a doubt, an ideal opportunity to discover the typical cuisine of each destination with top quality products grown very close to the hotel. We were able to see all of this during these days in the spectacular tasting buffets that also featured new international proposals that are truly trending, such as Hawaiian poke or Japanese ramen. Our chefs are constantly reinventing themselves!
But to offer the best cuisine, the entire hotel must work in synchronization and with very clear objectives. For this reason, these training and teambuilding sessions are so important, they make us stronger to continue maintaining the quality standards that identify Servigroup Hotels so much. Likewise, there was space for the annual meeting of the hotels housekeeping managers, on whom the burden is placed to ensure that everything is perfect and always ready, using effective products and processes that are sustainable and respectful of the environment. Without a doubt, the cleanliness of our facilities is one of the most characteristic hallmarks recognized by our guests; and these types of actions are essential for cleanliness to continue being a keynote of Servigroup Hotels.
Finally, last Friday, as a culmination of these important learning days, the annual meeting of bar managers and restaurant managers was held, where they had the opportunity to exchange ways of working to raise the hospitality of our service to the highest level, also giving the chance to taste our new coffee, kombucha and tea products, that we are sure will be a success this season.
