We celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Montíboli Hotel with a unique interview in the program “Gente Viajera” of Onda cero radio
The Hotel Servigroup Montíboli is celebrating its 50th anniversary hand in hand with the Onda Cero Radio programme Gente Viajera ("People who Travel"), hosted by the charismatic presenter Esther Eiros.
Gente Viajera's director will be in charge of this original broadcast, alongside her habitual team, comprising Enrique Domínguez Uceta, Helena del Amo and Ramón Villaroa.
Also joining this new adventure will be the director of Onda Cero in Villajoyosa, Antonio Sánchez; the journalist Marta Llinares; Julio Nieto, in charge of sales at Onda Cero; and Onda Cero's regional director Enrique Martín.
The programme will be broadcast live next Saturday, April 14th, from the Hotel Montíboli's Panorama Room (from 12 noon to 2).
What will the programme be focusing on?
As far as the content of this Gente Viajera programme is concerned, it will be focusing in particular on the history of the Montíboli, and the path travelled by this five star hotel in Villajoyosa over the 50 years of its existence (report by Enrique Domínguez Uceta); other particularly relevant aspects will be highlighted, such as its history, its exclusive location, its cuisine, and that philosophy which always characterises the hotels in the Servigroup chain, a philosophy which is applied day after day, aiming constantly to achieve satisfied customers.
Esther Eiros will interview José María Caballé Horta, President of Servigroup Hotels, and will also have conversations with those in charge of management and sales for this hotel chain with headquarters in Benidorm, which has 17 hotels on the Mediterranean Coast, in Benidorm, Villajoyosa, La Zenia, La Manga, Mojácar, Peñíscola, Alcossebre and Benicàssim; as such it is the number one hotel chain in the Community of Valencia.
The renowned quality of Servigroup hotels, devoted to the search for perfection in its impeccable product, will be one of the stars of the broadcast, alongside the great satisfaction of its customers and its high degree of commitment to sport and to innovation.
As well as having the participation of the businessman José María Caballé, the programme will also have the presence of various authorities such as Andreu Verdú, Mayor of Villajoyosa and Toni Pérez, Mayor of Benidorm, who will speak of the impact that the Hotel Montíboli has had on the east coast of Spain over the 50 years of its life. As well as this, the director of the Hotel Montíboli, Manuel J. Garcia, will let listeners in on many of the anecdotes arising in the hotel over these 50 years of service to the public. He will speak about the celebrities who chose the Montíboli for their holidays, or as their working quarters at a particular moment, or various moments, in the course of their professional careers (the Hotel Montíboli was the place where Paul McCartney found inspiration for and composed his song Hi Hi Hi).
50 years with the Hotel Montíboli
It was in 1968 to be exact when an original hotel in Villajoyosa first came into being; in a very short time it was to become one of the most emblematic and representative hotels on the Spanish coast.
From the start, this new establishment was an alluring tourist attraction, located on top of the cliff separating the La Caleta and l’Esparrelló beaches.
Exactly half a century later, the most important radio programme devoted to tourism and to travel joins the Montíboli to celebrate this long awaited anniversary.
