Gold and Diamond medal to the hotelier José Mª Caballé
On the 13th of June the hotelier Mr José Mª Caballé Horta received the Gold and Diamond medal awarded by the Alicante’s Chamber of Commerce in recognition of his extensive business career as president of Servigroup Hotels.
This event formed part of the 42nd edition of the night of Alicantina Economy, chaired by the president of the Generalitat, Mr. Ximo Puig, and was also attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Mayor of Alicante, as well as a representative of the regional Government and the president of Alicante’s town council.
The presentation of this medal to Mr Caballé was the perfect finale to this gala which strives to boost the provinces business sector. Prizes were also awarded in the categories of Commerce, Export, Tourism, Industry, Business Innovation and Family Businesses.
Caballé has been recognised on a personal level up to 16 times, receiving numerous prizes and awards including the Gold Medal of AICO (American Association of Chamber of Commerce)prize for the promotion and development of Alicante’s Chamber of Commerce, the “Importante” prize on behalf of the newspaper Diario Información, silver medal awarded by the Hotel and Tourism union, honorary prize on behalf of the association Jeturbe of Benidorm, Hosbec’s Silver pin award, the “Pedro Zaragoza Orts” award from Alicante’s Association of journalists and writers of tourism (AAPET), “Índalo de Oro”, awarded by the town of Mojácar, and also an award from the town of Benidorm, distinguished Comendador and illustrious son of the city of Manizales (Colombia) for his commitment to the development of the towns tourism, a prize for his professional career on behalf of the University of Alicante, Doctor Honoris Causa in Business Administration for his business career by “The Constantinian University” based in the U.S.A , and he has recently been awarded the “Escudo de Caldas” (Colombia) in honour of merit.
The hotel Group achieves rewarding results year after year for its High level of satisfaction and customer loyalty, with more than 350 awards and certifications awarded by tour operators which the chain has worked with, as well as awards from major Travel companies, Spanish and American public institutions.
Caballé has sixteen hotels along the Mediterranean coast and a Hotel in Colombia, over 1800 workers in High season and a turnover of around one hundred and twenty million euros a year from the group of companies integrated in the hotel group.
