The award winning Fuzzville returns
The Fuzzville festival 2016 will this year take place once again in KM Disco in Benidorm throughout the 9th and 10th of September. It will be the second year that this new and award-winning festival returns to show us this combined explosion of sound which last year captivated the audience and the most demanding critics.
For this new Benidorm Fuzzville, you can enjoy two nights in which intense punk rock music from the most major independent labels will once again impress the local audience.
And for this forthcoming event, both Spanish and non-Spanish bands belonging to underground record labels will take to the stage.
Bands such as Thee Oh Sees, The Boys, Radioactivity, Nobunny, Los Chicos, Chain the Gang, Giuda, Hollywood Sinners, Apache, Big Tits and the Bad Sports are already among the official confirmed list for the Fuzzville festival in KM Disco.
We are talking about different styles belonging to the same musical genre which are becoming increasingly recognised and praised. The Fuzzville festival is defined by an attractive fusion of styles in which the most original and transgressed exhibitions of rock and roll stand out, often combined with out of the ordinary guitar sounds. The most original and captivating glam and fuzz mixes play a prominent role in Fuzzville as well as bands with a more specific style such as the Big Tits who will once again get us hooked with their most captivating and addictive punk sound.
And so the second edition of a festival that promises to be as successful as The Kids, The Pandoras, Jeff The Brotherhood, Dr.Explosion, Allah-Las (as well as lots of other bands from independent record labels) were last year, will once again take place.
Last year, Fuzzville 2015, as well as the ever classic Low Festival, was awarded at the Fest Awards which were presented in Bilbao. The budding Fuzzville was awarded Festival Newcomer of the year, in addition to being a finalist among the best small scale festivals. Furthermore, Benidorm’s Low Festival 2015 picked up the award for the most technological festival. This goes to show the increasing significance that the Spanish music scene is giving to music from the most independent and alternative labels.
Benidorm is becoming one of the leading cities not only in Spain but throughout the rest of Europe for hosting music festivals.
For these reasons, we have no doubt that this music festival should continue to take place and although it will be difficult to excel after having raised the bar very high in its debut year, we are certain that we won’t be disappointed next month. It is an unmissable event for those who are passionate about independent top quality punk-rock.
And so now we conclude this summer’s musical journey which has hosted huge artists from the national and international scene, including the king of electronic music David Guetta, who also took Benidorm’s Guillermo Amor Stadium by storm on August 6th.
At the same time, we end an authentic trilogy of music festivals of diverse genres, one of those taking place with great enthusiasm recently, the Low Festival. What’s more, we remind you that the Iberia Festival will be held this weekend, Saturday 20th in the Julio Iglesias Auditorium.
Summer is drawing to an end and although the music won’t stop playing throughout the remaining seasons, it is a certainty that next summer Benidorm will once again bring the best bands and solo artists from the national and international scene.
For the time being we will be waiting for you on the 9th and 10th of September in Fuzzville Benidorm 2016.
